In the context of Ho Chi Minh City `living with Covid-19`, to early detect pathogens in the community, clinics and hospitals have their own isolation areas.

For people, if they have symptoms or are suspected of having Covid-19, they need to contact local health care to get a test sample, or proactively go for examination at clinics or hospitals.

In case of taking samples at home, when there is a positive rapid test result, the patient will be quarantined and monitored at home (if eligible) or go to Covid-19 treatment facilities depending on their health status.

According to the latest regulations of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, F0 will have his health status evaluated by a doctor.

The facility that does not meet the treatment capacity will contact F0 to be transferred to the nearest place by ambulance, using a dose of anticoagulant before transferring the patient.

With F0 asymptomatic or mild symptoms, depending on the reason for going to the doctor, the doctor will treat appropriately.

F0 of Linh Tay ward (Thu Duc city) treated at home was examined and given medicine by medical staff, September 3.

Recently, the F0 home care and health monitoring model with the support of mobile medical stations and the Covid-19 care team in the community has been considered to be very effective.

In case F0 does not have indications for hospitalization, they will be consulted and guided to self-assess their level of achievement of home quarantine criteria.

F0 to quarantine at home by personal car or specialized transport taxi F0, immediately notify the health station for care and treatment package at home.

If the conditions for home quarantine are not met, the hospital notifies the district medical center where the F0 resides to prepare to receive the F0 into centralized quarantine facilities and collection hospitals in the area.

Regarding the operations of medical facilities, the establishment of Covid-19 departments, or treatment units, and Thu Dung District Hospital are two important spearheads of Ho Chi Minh City’s health sector in the new adaptive context.

According to the plan of the Department of Health, when the field hospitals stop operating one by one (from now until the end of the year, because the epidemic has basically been controlled), each district will establish and maintain at least one Hospital.

For hospitals that have previously been fully or partially converted to treat Covid-19, from now until the end of the year, their functions will gradually be restored for normal medical examination and treatment but the isolation area will be kept (20-40 days).

Since the end of September, many hospitals have followed the above plan, converting one after another, following the roadmap for completion by the end of the year.
