For a 38-year-old player, retirement is normal, but in the case of David Beckham, the feeling is quite surprising.

Thus, the last club in Beckham’s career is Paris St-Germain, the team he stayed with for only 5 months and once offered him a one-year contract extension after the end of the current season.

`I want to thank PSG leaders for their intention to create opportunities for me to continue playing,` said the handsome midfielder.

PSG still has two more matches this season in Ligue I, but has already won the championship.

Beckham made his name in Man Utd – where he played 394 matches, won 6 Premier League titles and a Champions League, before joining Real Madrid (Spain), LA Galaxy (USA), playing

In about 20 years of career, he won a total of 19 titles.

Beckham also spent 6 years (from 2000 to 2006) as captain of the England team – where he played a total of 115 matches, starting with the match against Moldova in 1996 and finally with  a 3-0 victory over Belarus in 2009.

`When I was a kid, if someone had said that in the future I would be able to play and win many titles with my favorite team Man Utd, wear the captain’s armband of the national team and play for many other famous clubs.

Not winning any titles with the team, Beckham is the only English player to score in three consecutive World Cup finals and is the second best passer in Euro history.

`To this day, one of my proudest achievements is being captain of the national team,` he continued.

Beckham’s successful career is due in no small part to his solid rear.

Beckham’s success is not just on the field.

`I’ve been fortunate to be given many opportunities in my career, and now it’s time for me to give back,` he said.

`I also understand that I owe a lot of gratitude to Victoria (wife) and the children. They are the people who give me great inspiration and support to be able to focus on competing at the highest level for many years.`
