Also according to Mr. Binh, the quarantine areas are evaluated by the Department of Health and relevant agencies.

Mr. Binh also informed that in a meeting with the Government on the afternoon of December 1, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City proposed removing the separate quarantine regulations for flight crew members.

In addition, according to the direction of the Ministry of Health, Ho Chi Minh City closed the centralized quarantine area of Vietnam Airlines on Hong Ha Street, Tan Binh District.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC) Nguyen Tri Dung stated that home quarantine is scientifically reasonable for low-risk cases.

`Quarantine at home requires a very high level of self-discipline. Currently we do not have monitoring tools. The health sector cannot enter people’s homes to see if they have left the house or not,` Mr. Dung said.

Also according to the Director of HCDC, the organization and supervision of centralized quarantine or at home (including hotels) are regulated by the Ministry of Health.

On the other hand, home quarantine requires the quarantined person to comply and fulfill commitments.

Mr. Dung said `patient 1342` seriously violated the regulations and commitments he signed and spread it to 3 cases.

Currently, the quarantine of Vietnam Airlines flight crew is carried out according to Official Dispatch No. 3588 dated July 2, 2020 of the National Steering Committee on Covid-19 Prevention.
