The three children in distress include: Nguyen Anh Thu (3 years old, from Nam Dinh), Pham Bui Gia Khanh (4 years old, from Ha Nam) and Nguyen Ngoc Ha Le (5 years old, from Ha Nam).

At 3:00 p.m. on August 9, Anh Thu, Gia Khanh and Ha Le and 11 classmates aged 3-5 learned how to call for help and escape when there is danger.

The teachers used towels to put it out, but the fire spread quickly and caught on clothes, causing a large burn area, said Mr. Tran Quang Tuyen, Head of the Education and Training Department of Duy Tien district.

`The patient was admitted to the hospital at 4:15 p.m. with scattered burns all over his body, but conscious, without respiratory failure, and his vital signs were relatively stable,` said Dr. Dinh Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Department of Emergency Medicine, General Hospital.

Patient Nguyen Ngoc Ha Le is being treated at the Emergency Department, Le Huu Trac National Burn Institute.

At 8:00 p.m. the same day, the children were transferred to the National Burn Institute Le Huu Trac (Ha Dong, Hanoi) when they began to fall into shock.

Patient Anh Thu suffered 52% 2-3 degree burns on the face, chest, arms and entire lower limbs.

Three patients are being treated with a regimen of anti-shock, intravenous fluids, pain relief, sedation, oxygen, and wound cleaning.

Mr. Tran Quang Tuyen, Head of Education and Training Department of Duy Tien district (Ha Nam), said that Tuoi Tho private preschool class has only been in operation for 3 months, currently has 2 classes with 4 teachers and 20 students.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Khoat has an Intermediate Degree in Early Childhood Pedagogy and a Certificate in Educational Management, so she is allowed to open classes.
