This content is a new point in the Instructions for home health care packages for F0 people issued by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health on August 15, right after the Ministry of Health decided to pilot home-based treatment.

In the Department’s guidance at the end of July, only F0 cases detected in the community, with no clinical symptoms, no risk factors (no underlying disease or stable underlying disease, no obesity) are allowed.

With the latest regulations of the Department of Health, F0 quarantined at home must meet the following conditions: have a private room, have airy windows, private toilet, private phone number, and have the facility’s phone number available.

In front of the isolation room door, there is a table or chair to receive food and necessary personal items, and a personal trash can with lid and trash bag included.

F0 has available hand and surface disinfectant solution, throat rinse or physiological saline (0.9%), medical mask, thermometer.

F0 home care needs to wear a mask regularly, except when eating, drinking, and personal hygiene.

Measure body temperature and SpO2 at least twice a day, or when you feel signs of fever or difficulty breathing.

Eat nutritious food and drink lots of water.

F0 has one of the following symptoms such as fever over 38 degrees Celsius, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of taste, chest pain, chest heaviness, feeling of difficulty breathing, contact medical staff via hotline 1022, dial number

When there are signs of serious complications such as difficulty breathing (indicated by shortness of breath, rapid breathing over 30 times a minute), lethargy, lethargy, purple lips, limb pain, SpO2 < 95%, contact hotline 115 immediately.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health requires health stations to prepare a health monitoring form for people quarantined at home based on the quarantined person’s daily medical declaration information through the electronic health declaration application.

The mobile medical team of the Health Station visits the homes of suspected F0 cases belonging to high-risk groups in the area such as lonely elderly people, people with mental illness… to promptly take them to the facilities.

During home monitoring, F0 used fever-reducing drugs, health-enhancing drugs (vitamins, micronutrients, traditional medicine), antiviral drugs, and anti-inflammatory drugs such as corticosteroids and anti-isoforms.

The Department of Health also guides the use of some anti-inflammatory corticosteroids and oral anticoagulants for F0 patients with early symptoms of respiratory failure.
