On the afternoon of July 30, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang Party Committee issued Resolution 08 on strengthening a number of urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, the city will implement measures `stronger and higher than Directive 16 of the Prime Minister`;

The resolution was issued in the context that in the past 20 days, Da Nang recorded 568 cases of Covid-19;

Mr. Quang said, in fact, in the past two months, Da Nang has issued many anti-epidemic measures equivalent to Directive 16. In the coming time, the city will apply measures to ban and restrict people, vehicles and some other measures.

In addition to quarantine checkpoints at airports, railway stations, seaports and bordering other localities, competent forces are required to organize checkpoints in inner city areas and residential areas.

The city will also organize mobile forces to patrol, warn, handle violations, and overcome the situation of `tight on the outside, loose on the inside`.

Recognizing that during the period of social distancing, many poor and freelance workers will continue to face difficulties, the Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee has requested the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to speed up disbursement.
