`We reached a consensus with FIFA to resolutely reject the formation of the Super League,` UEFA’s announcement emphasized.

On April 18, the Super League representative announced that the tournament has 12 founding teams, and three other teams on the way to join.

Initially, German clubs Bayern Munich, Dortmund and two French teams PSG and Lyon were on the list of 16 founding clubs of the Super League.

On the contrary, UEFA took a significant step forward in preventing the organization of the Super League when reaching an agreement with the three most important member federations, England, Italy and Spain.
