The number of nCoV infections globally continues to increase every day.

Recently, pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca brought hope to this country when it reached an agreement with the Brazilian government to produce and supply millions of doses after the vaccine for Covid-19 is officially completed.

The Oxford vaccine is currently the brightest `candidate` among the Covid-19 vaccines being clinically tested on humans.

AstraZeneca and the Brazilian government signed an agreement worth 127 million USD to produce the Oxford vaccine (also known as AZD1222) researched and developed by Oxford University.

The distribution agreement with Brazil was signed and announced by AstraZeneca just days after the company reached talks with the Japanese government on a similar manufacturing agreement.

Previously on June 26, Japanese pharmaceutical company Daiichi Sankyo said it was negotiating with AstraZeneca about the production and distribution of the Oxford vaccine in the country.

Meanwhile, AstraZeneca is also working to build a production line to supply potential vaccines to the US and European markets.
